Maple Leaf Realty is proud to be participating in the Stay to Stay Program.
The Scott administration is launching a pilot program aimed at attracting new Vermonters.
Stay to Stay Weekend will connect out-of-state visitors with employers, entrepreneurs and local officials.
Gov. Phil Scott says the program will be tested on four weekends in Bennington, Brattleboro and Rutland. People who sign up for the weekend will be able to explore opportunities in those areas and attend a reception hosted by local chambers of commerce and young professional groups.
State officials say the lodging industry reports that many of the state’s 13 million annual visitors express a desire to live in Vermont. State officials hope the Stay to Stay Weekend program will convince some to do just that.
“They’ll spend the weekend exploring the region and its many attractions. And on Monday, they’ll meet with employers who are hiring, take a drive or a walking tour with a realtor, visit an incubator or co-working space to meet with entrepreneurs and professionals,” said Scott, R-Vermont.
“Stay to Stay is helping connect us with people who can thrive here, and it’s helping them connect with jobs so they, too, can become Vermonters and grow with us,” said Adam Grinold of the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation.
