We are proud to welcome Tom
Real Estate sometimes runs in the family and we are very proud to announce the addition of Tom Martins, the son of our very own, Bob Martins. I knew right away that Tom would not only be a terrific asset to Maple Leaf Realty but also someone with the right skills, back ground and attitude for this job. Plus – having Bob close by gives him ready access to decades of experience.
As a young man, Tom set his sights on the city life, moving to New York City at the tender age of 18 and as he puts it “was home from day one.” Tom stayed in NYC for a total of 25 years. He headed to California for a brief stint in Santa Monica before settling in San Francisco for five years. Why, you ask?? Because of his love for the theater, acting, directing and doing all the background stuff (lighting, set building, etc) and where else can you find all that wrapped up in one location?
Tom’s parents owned the Valhalla Motel for many years (now the location of Second Chance Animal Center), which gave him a great place to visit to get away from the Rat Race of a city. Coming home to Vermont Tom would take in the amazing views, fresh air, maple syrup, the pleasure of long drives and of course, a trip to the Chocolatorium in Arlington. I like to think that all of this made Tom want to return to this area and make it his home.
In between studying for his Real Estate exam, many hours of training at Maple Leaf Realty Tom managed to become a member of the Dorset Players and will be performing with them this October. Acting – it’s in his blood! To cement his home coming, Tom adopted Raven, a six year old sweetheart of a dog from Second Chance, his old homestead location. A full circle sort of thing.
If you would like to meet Tom and get to know this free wheeling guy, please give him a call or email. Let him help you in your search for a home or perhaps you need to Sell and find your next adventure, your next home, your own circle of life.
