Jenifer Prouty Hoffman
A native Vermonter and third generation Benningtonian, Jenifer has been fascinated by real estate since she was six years old and watched her parents build their house from the ground up. Seeing their dream come true taught her the meaning of “pride of ownership.” As a teen, she helped her dad with home improvement projects and explored open houses with her mom.
After earning her Master’s in Counseling, she followed her passion for homes and helping people achieve their goals and began her career in real estate.
Recently married, Jenifer’s husband is a general contractor with 30+ years experience. After living in a 450 sq ft cabin for four years (they say love grows in tiny houses!) they bought a foreclosed fixer-upper in Shaftsbury. With their combined skills, they did a complete gut job and renovation (without killing each other) and now their home is a real show piece.
She claims this experience was thrilling and eye-opening, giving her first-hand knowledge of what her clients go through. As if that wasn’t enough, in 2017 they bought 20 acres to design and build their dream home.
Asked to describe herself, she says it’s all about relationships and results. She’s an ambitious leader, achieving success through her own high standards, driven by a tenacious spirit and generous heart. Jenifer focuses on building long-term relationships based on mutual respect, while crafting a vision for the best outcomes and confronting challenges earnestly. Always improving herself, relentlessly pursuing her goals, she’s quick to learn and grow from life’s lessons, both personally and professionally.
In her free time, Jenifer is an excellent home cook, loves to travel, read books, watch TV and movies, enjoys staging & interior design, and spending time with family.
